Louis van Gaal admits he still resents the way he was treated by Manchester United.
The now 67-year-old took charge of United from 2014-16, leading them to FA Cup success in his second season.
But despite van Gaal having a year left on his contract – which United had insisted on – he was still given the boot at Old Trafford.
He told BBC Sport: “The Glazers [the club’s owners] and Ed Woodward [executive vice-chairman] asked me [to do three years].
“That is why I am still angry with the way they chose to do it. Ed Woodward knew Manchester United would be my last club.”
